Spring Tag

For my Celebrate the Occasion challenge this week, I thought it was supposed to be a tag :) But alas, it is supposed to have a punch on it. Luckily, I used one. The only shaped one I have aside from border punches is the Martha Stewart Circle punch. Martha has failed me in many other products she uses, but her punches have so far been great.
The tag was a RAK sent from Enastasia. I love the tags she sent me. I used My Mind's Eye Laundry Line Sun dress Admire, with Winding Vine paper. Shabby Shutters and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink by Time Holtz were used around my edges. I used a My Minds Eye rub on for the bird and a quote that says An Every Day Kind of Wonderful. So sweet. Then I decked it out with some Prima bling 'say it in crystals' a large button and a K&C bling. I threw on some trim and a Fancy Pants ribbon. Some tulle at the bottom flared out from the backside- like a dress :).

I have to say it is all a bit gaudy. :) My mom didn't like it. But I think it is adorable. :)
I would love to see your projects. Go to Celebrate the Occasion and enter. Pull out your old punches you never use and get going. You have one week to get them in. No cricut required :)
Here is the video tutorial

Love your tag!.. AND the tutorial! I'm pretty new at scrapbooking and paper-crafting of any kind, so my own tags are probably a bit primitive by some people's standards!.. But I LOVE it, and am learning MUCH as I gradually accumulate my tools and supplies, a little at a time!.. Thanks for sharing how you made your tag today! It really came out beautiful! ~tina

I'm always so amazed at the detail and work some people put into their tags and cards! This is an example ...so many great things to look at!

This is just beautiful! I wouldn't know how to use it. I would just frame it and put it on the wall. How could you lock it up in a scrapbook? Just beautiful.

I'M LATE, I'M LATE, I'M LATE! Sorry it took me a whole week to stop by and let you know that THIS IS GORGEOUS! I don't think it is gaudy at all! I think it is very lovely! I love all the blingy details and those papers are the perfect touch of spring! I'm sad to say I'll have to stop back to watch your video...I have no sound right now. I probably missed plugging something back in when I had my laptop tore apart several months ago and I've just been hoping on the desktop to watch lately (because I wasn't up to the nightmare of taking this apart again). Well, of course the kiddos blew out the speakers to the desktop the other week, so now I'm going to have to rip this thing apart again..BLAH! There are 17 screws on the outside cover alone and it is not a fun job but it is cheaper than buying new speakers! I just apologized to Rayna for rambling on for her post now here I am doing it again! I'll just start sending you ladies an email instead when I'm chatty! I'm busy procrastinating right now..hehe! Have great night!
