Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #16

For this week's challenge at Celebrate the Occasion, the theme is School's Out (must use an apple). I decided to make my kids' teacher gifts since we only have a couple more weeks until school's out! I'm having kind of mixed feelings about that, on one hand I love having my kids around and it will be great having them home, but on the other hand my time is definitely cut short keeping them busy! I do a calendar every year with our summer activities on it, so they still have some kind of schedule and they love running in every morning to see what we have planned for the day so that will be fun :) We do cooking day, craft day, field trip day, etc. so I'm sure I'll be posting some of our projects too!

I found these cute little notebooks at Target for $1 each and then I decorated the front with the little quote and apple. They were fun to make and I hope the teachers find them useful. They did such a great job and my kids had a great year, so I'm truly grateful for that! Bring on the summer! :)

These are great Rayna! I love the apple you chose and I'm sure the teachers will find them very useful! I love the idea of having a calendar of events for the summer break! I think I am going to try that! I always dread the sudden change of schedule and how the little ones react to it. I can't wait to see pics of your families creative summer projects!

Rayna, what a FANTASTIC teacher's gift!! These are so perfect and even better that they are handmade... GREAT job!! :)

I'm super-excited to hear about your summer events -- Do you think a summer calendar would work for grown-up teenagers??? Hmmm... I'd love to see them run in to see what we have planned for the day (mowing day, laundry day, car wash day... hee hee!!)

Thanks so much for sharing your DT talent at Celebrate The Occasion this week!!
