Penny's Holiday Gifts Challenge

This week at Penny's Paper Challenge, the challenge is "Holiday Gifts". We used these cute images from DigiDarla to create our projects. I used a snowflake Martha Stewart border punch on some red bazzill cardstock to make my stripes. I inked some grungeboard snowflakes for my accents and then used rhinestones and stickles in a few places for some sparkle. I love that stuff!

I have totally enjoyed being on this awesome design team, and now it's time to submit my last Design Team entry to Celebrate the Occasion. For the challenge this week, we are making Christmas cards, but they have to be in a different shape. I chose this great ornament from the Cricut Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cart. I found the perfect sentiment and my card was done!

Thankful Thursday Layout Challenge

At Crazy About Cricut this week, we're having a layout challenge! I took my pictures from last year's Christmas and made this layout "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." It seems like I'm hearing that song everywhere lately, so I thought it would be a good title for the layout too :) I cut the tree and packages out with my Cricut and used a little bling. I love remembering the looks on my kids' faces on Christmas morning, it really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Penny's Tie One On Challenge

This week at Penny's Paper Challenge, we had these super cute images from Stretch N' Bubbles to use for our Tie One On projects! I just love this little bird and ornaments, they're so cute! I used Copic markers to shade the tree and colored pencils for everything else. I used glossy accents on the leaves to make them stand out and then some stickles at different places for some sparkle. I found this great font at Lettering Delights - it's so versatile for lots of different projects! I made this 5x7 card for the project, but I liked it so well I think I'm going to keep it for myself :) I am going to put it in an 8x10 frame and make it into Christmas decor!

Guest Designer spot on Birthday Sundaes!!

This week, I have the awesome privilege of being the guest designer on Birthday Sundaes!! I'm so excited! The challenge for the week was to make a birthday card with a tree on it...so I decided to create my own tree! I used the die cuts sheet on Crate paper's Sweet Branch collection and made my tree out of the various size circles and the branch from a swirl. Then just for some sparkle, I added a gem to the center of each circle. I used a rub on for the happy birthday sentiment and finished it off with a bow and some brads.

Thankful Thursday Fall Challenge

This week at Crazy About Cricut, we were challenged to make a project that Falls open. I chose to make a gate card, but you could also make a Jacob's ladder type book or an accordion book or something like that. Just use your imagination! I found this this adorable little turtle at www.whimsiedoodles.com/freebies.html and I made a birthday card for my sister in law who loves turtles.
I dry embossed the two panels on the front of the card and then inked them to match the turtle shell. Loved those fun dots! Then I used my pencils to color in the turtle and added some red stickles to the flower for some sparkle.

I added some button accents and a flower on the front of the card to keep it closed and it was a fun, easy card to make.

Penny's Halloween challenge

This week at Penny's Paper Challenge, we're celebrating Halloween! We got the chance to use these super cute images from Robyn's Fetish for this week's challenge. I just loved this little mummy boy and the pumpkin. I used Copic markers to color the boy and then I printed the pumpkin out on orange patterned paper, and I loved the way he turned out!

I used liquid glass (aka glossy accents) on the stem and candlelight and it really made them stand out more. I also used vintage photo stickles on the orange brads to give them some sparkle.

CTO Red, White, and Black Challenge

For the challenge this week at Celebrate the Occasion, we were challenged to make a project using Red, White, and Black. It was perfect timing because my other cousin is getting married this weekend and those are her colors! I used the swirl embossing folder for this card and then used some star dust stickles to make the swirls stand out a little more.

I used Close to my Heart stamps to create the background image and then I stamped the hearts and popped them up on foam squares. I used red stickles on the swirls and diamonds on the hearts to add some bling.

For this fun 3D flower, I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to my Heart. It creates a spiral and then I stamped the swirl image on it. Then you just roll it into a flower shape and I added the diamond brad to finish it off.

Don't forget to come and join us this week at Celebrate the Occasion for this fun challenge and to check out all the fabulous work from the rest of the awesome Design Team!!
